• Hello. I’m having a problem with a new theme that I installed. I’ve been working with it for a while trying to get it figured out, but have gotten nowhere. I like certain features of this theme so I really want to use it, but just need to get this ONE little thing worked out.

If you go to https://www.homeshade.com/blog2/?p=121 and scroll down to the very bottom, you’ll see that the blog main image extends past the footer image. I’ve gone all through the themes code and compared it to other themes….just can’t figure it out. Unfortunately, all the themes by this person are the same way.

The name of the theme is SunsetIdea, downloaded from here: https://themes.wordpress.net/columns/2-columns/4047/sunsetidea-10/

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

  • Some how, You have messed up the CSS.

When I copy your CSS (https://www.homeshade.com/blog2/wp-content/themes/sunsetidea-10/style.css) to my server – I get the same results.

Re-upload the style.css from the theme and it should work fine. You can see it as it’s supposed to work at my lab (https://sannsack.com/wplab)

Actually, the only thing I did to the css was change the image file names. It’s not working properly on yours either, what the theme author has done is make the footer image extend to the bottom of the page, basically so you don’t see the overflow from the blog background images. Take a look at the footer image, you’ll see what I mean.

My issue is that I’m going to have a background at the bottom and I want the footer to be transparent….so I can’t make it extend to the bottom like he did.

Thanks for take a look at it!

well i’ve managed to fix, or workaround, this issue by copying the div layers from another theme’s css and redoing the div’s in the php files for the sunsetidea theme. Wish the theme would have been written properly in the first place!
