Dashboard Icons Overlap – Does it happen to you?

  • I have had 4.2.4 | 4.2.5 | 4.3 | & now 4.3.1, and it’s the first time I see
    the Icons & Text on the side menu/bar, overlap each other.
    If you pass the mouse cursor over them, it short of fixes itself.

    It is not that it causes a problem or something, but it seems weird happening,
    & it makes me wonder whether everything is okay with my installation.
    Have you noticed that happening on your dashboard?

  • I’m seeing the same thing on many of my sites. Any updates? Or have you found another thread that addresses this particular issue?

    Are you using Chrome 45? Does the fix described by Otto in this thread work for you: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/dashboard-menu-hover-error?replies=17

    I’m using Opera 32.0

    Actually, if I switch to Chrome 45 it seems to work fine.

    I use Opera 32.0 and I had that issue, exac as tsoto111’s screenshot.
    And strange enough, there’s no issue on Chrome 45..!
    (no adjustments made on Chrome)

    Since it ‘fixes itself’, it seems to be an image rendering issue.
    Like there’s not enough memory/cpu to process it properly.

    This happened on a new WordPress project with no plugins installed – at all.
    So I deleted the WP installation and reinstalled it a couple of times.
    Same thing over & over.

    I presumed it was a 4.3.1 issue – which appeared a couple of days after the release. But since ‘half’ of users have it on Opera & the other ‘half’ on Chrome, seems like some sort of mystery….

    I would like to thank everybody for contributing to WP forums.
    This way we make the community stronger – and life a little bit easier for all of us…
