Measure conversions on external link

    Hi Scott,

    I have a split test that links out to an external page. I can’t put the conversion code on this external page. Is there any way I can measure conversions based on clicks? If not, I’ll see if I can set up a tracking code in GA and use separate ones in each group.

    Hi there,

    One way to do this would be to set up a separate page that logs a conversion and redirects to the external site. For example, you could set up example.com/redirect and point your link there instead of directly to the external page.

    Thanks, Scott. For now, I’ll link group 1 to domain.com and group 2 to domain.com# as the hashtag version is registered as a different event.
