• Hello!

I have installed Amazon link and set it up properly.

However, when I try to have a display a wishlist on the website, I am unable to understand how it works.

I use the following shortcode: [amazon template=wishlist]
    However, nothing is displayed.

Besides, I do not know how to create wishlists.
Also, is there a possibility to chose which wishlist to display ?

Thank you for your help and time.

    Hi,

Thanks for trying the plugin, unfortunately Amazon removed access to the Amazon hosted wishlist service so the plugin can not retrieve wishlists created on Amazon.

However you can generate your own by finding the unique product ID (ASIN) of items on the Amazon web site and inserting them in the shortcode.

The plugin also has a search widget on the post/page edit screen to help you find products and add them to a shortcode.

The shortcode then becomes something like:

    [amazon template=wishlist&asin=0893817449,0500410607,050054199X,0500286426,0893818755,050054333X,0500543178,0945506562]

    Hope this helps,

    Paul

    Dear Paul,

Thank you very much for your help.

Is there a way to find out which items have been most clicked using your plug-in ?

Also, is there a way to display the ratings from Amazon ?

    Thank’s again !

    Hi,

Not within the plugin itself, however you could check your Affiliate statistics to count impressions, clicks and orders:

    https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/associates/network/reports/report.html?ie=UTF8&reportType=linkTypeReport

You can also set up multiple affiliate ID’s within your account and get stats on which ones are performing the best:

    Hope this helps,

    Hi,

The Amazon Service does not provide the rating information, however I have an extra plugin that will try and read the rating information from the Amazon.com web pages.

Lots of shortcomings with that approach but might be okay if you cache the product data.

Let me know if your interested and I’ll post a link.

    Paul
