Conditional field

    I have a question regarding the conditional fields.

    For example if I create a country field and have 3 countries available lets say USA,Canada and Australia. I also have a field for states .I selected the USA in my country field.
    How can I only displayed the states from the USA, while ignoring states from the other countries.

    To do this I get I have to create a taxonomy for countries, and another taxonomy for states. And have them autopopulated in each field.

    But then what follows? In my layout builder the condition box under slug is in blank. I assume that is the place to add the conditions. Or am I looking at the wrong place?

    You’ll have to create 3 states drop-downs for each country.
    Then go to the conditional tab and create a condition like: Show IF “country” = “USA” the on the right select the USA States dropdown. Do this for each country.

    going back to the layout editor tab, you’ll see the condition in the dropdown on each field.

    Thanks for the instructions, I did everything, create my condition and selected it for the conditional field, Once I test it, I select the USA but the conditional field did not show.

    Just test the exact same condition and field but in other form, and I notice it works in this other form, and not in the other, the difference between those forms is that the form that works has only 2 fields, and the other forms not working have 5 fields.

    Yes, you should do a custom query to populate the select fields with the “caldera_forms_render_get_field” filter.
