PS: Now tell you what that background is all grey now that I can’t really see the letters except when I switch to Code view.

I looked at your picture, I still don’t understand. It looks to me like you have some space in the text editor box highlighted/selected.

If your editing box is all messed up, try refreshing the page, clearing the cache, using a different browser, turning off the visual editor. That sort of thing.

Yes, the text editor seems to set its own bg to grey or sometime blue or such. I have no control over it, so what I can do is to disable the MCAdvance to get back the white bg. Is there a way to fix this?

I don’t know what “MCAdvance” is, so I can’t tell you what to do. Disable it if it’s causing your problem.

Now I found the solution: try reset CSS from that MCE Advanced, then bg get to original.
