Search with checkboxes

  • Hi there,

    I managed to build a custom searchform that searches in multiple columns. So far so good. My problem is now, that I want so search with checkboxes.

    I created a Multicheckbox field with languages and I want to perform a search on people who are able to speak e.g. English and French. The problem is, that when i search I can look for people who speak French or People who speek English. When I check more than one checkbox I get no results.

    Could anybody give me some advice?

    Sorry, I get a result but I want only persons who are able to speak both languages. At the moment I get all that have French OR English checked. I want all the people who have French AND English checked.

    Would you be willing to share the template code for searching by multiple columns?

    Would really help our application of the plugin too!

    In the OP context, what seems to work for me is to setup a multiselect/Other field ? My value field is:
    Fran?ais::fran?ais, Anglais::anglais, Espagnol::espagnol, Portugais::portugais, Chinois::chinois

    When I setup a filter with 2 criteria:
    Langue contains fran?ais
    AND
    Langue contains anglais

    the result gives me all those who speak French AND English.

    Is it what you are looking for ? Sorry if I misunderstood the point.

    We have over 60 fields we’re trying to include in the search, so your solve might prove to be a bit labour intensive.

    I think we’ll be waiting for the feature to be added to the plugin itself.
