Weird problem on WordPress. Can't edit/add posts and can't add html/js widgets

  • I’m facing a very strange problem on my WordPress blog. I cannot edit/add posts which have images. When I try to edit a post and click “update” button, I get redirected to my homepage. Same thing happens when I try to add a post with one or two images and click publish. My posts don’t get saved!

    I cannot even add any HTML/js widget to my widget section. When I add a HTML/js script widget, it doesn’t get saved!

    I have tried on Windows 7, Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac OS X. Same thing happens!

    I have same site on localhost. when I try to add/edit posts/widgets on my local development site, I can easily do it.

    What should I do? ?? I cant publish anything. I’m currently using Windows Live Writer as an alternative, but it a pain! ??

    Sounds pretty weird indeed! So, first off, have you tried disabling all the plugins to see if one of them is the culprit? If that doesn’t help, try switching to a default theme (like 2014).

    It could be a permalinks issue—try changing permalinks to ‘default’ then switching back to what you currently have and save that.

    Other than that, the only thing I can think of is your .htaccess file might be screwed up? Could you post what’s in that file?
