• Hi all,

I just went on my website after many months and did all the updates indicated; plug-ins and WordPress it-self.

Now I open the edit page of my first Website page and everything displays in codes!
Which is not optimal of course…

Is there a mean to sort this out and display it properly and rapidly without going into much technical things?

    My website is: https://www.drugfreeyouthmusicproject.org

    WordPress runs Tonal theme.

If you can help this would be great.

    Thanks for your attention.

    Roland

  • Does the issue resolve if:

    – the plugins are deactivated.
    – or if you switch to a default WP theme.

The next thing I would check is the actual post itself –> Edit Post –> check in Visual mode. Are the tags added in this view?

    Thanks for your reply Kmross,

I disabled the plugins but it does nothing…
I changed theme and it does nothing but…

There is something I forgot to mention that seems to concern what you mention

Actually when I came back on my site, I opened the first page using the Edit tab to edit it and modify a sentence.

When I opened the Edit tab, the visual and text tabs were already displaying the codes/tags; both of them – which is not normal.

I then decided to modify a sentence between these tags, saved the page, and after this, all the tags were showing on the web page.

So yes, the tags/codes are displaying in both Visual and Text view

ah ok! Then in the Visual mode you will need to remove those tags manually, or you can restore the website back before the updates.

    Hi KmRoss,

THank you very much for your advice…

I have got one concern though about your first solution:
    1) it is going to take me ages
    2) If i want to edit another page, it is going to do the same thing! lots of waste of time removing all the codes/tags

So I would really like to Undo this last update.

How do you do this step by step…Simply I am not very website knowledgeable
