Warning Message using GORAN

  • Hello, I am very new with GORAN. Like it very much and would like to use it. I am just doing my first steps with it. However I have a warning message:
    Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /homepages/18/d317155877/htdocs/app317155896/wp-content/themes/goran/inc/customizer.php on line 21

    I am very unsure now if I can go on with GORAN or not. I am not a programmer only an user.

    Any advice?

    I’m not seeing this warning on my test site running Goran 1.2. Here are some troubleshooting questions – please answer all of them. Thanks!

    What version of Goran are you using?

    Are you seeing the message on the front end (public side) of your site? If yes, please provide a link to the page or post you’re visiting when you see the error.

    Are you seeing the message on the admin side of your site, i.e. in WP Admin?

    Are you performing a particular action when you see the error, if so, please list the steps you’re taking?

    Could you also please confirm what version of Edin (the parent theme) you have installed?

    Kathryn, I thank you so much for your response.
    I worked a lot today on the WEB Site with GORAN, and finally found out that the Jetpack plugin is essential to work with GORAN.
    Using Jetpack solved a lot of open issues. Meanwhile I cannot see the Warning any more!!!!

    I use the latest versions of GORAN and also EDIN.
    I saw the Warning when I pressed the “Customize” Button on Top of screen in WP-admin mode.

    Hi Chreste – thanks for answering the questions, you’ve helped me replicate the error on my test site. We’ll get this fixed up so the next version of Goran doesn’t produce the error – we’ll keep you posted here. Thanks for your help!
