"Read more" buttons are vanished

    Ciao,

    on the frontpage I use the grid. It took me a while to find out that the Jetpack is essential to be able to configure the side. However now after trying out a lot of things, my “read more” buttons are vanished. How can I get them back?

    Kathryn,
    I would like to have the red “read more” buttons below the pictures. Nothing special. I think that is what most of the GORAn sides do. However I still have difficulties with configuration. It seems to be kind of limited. Maybe there is another plugin what I have to install. Such as the Jetpack Plug in, which clarified many of my questions.

    If you’re referring to this section on the Goran demo:

    Goran Goran is a modern responsive business and corporate theme that helps you to create a strong yet beautiful online presence for your business

    Those are Featured Pages, which you can select in the Customizer’s Theme Options panel:

    Customize Goran 1 2 by Automattic tagline

    Selecting three static pages there will show the page’s excerpt, which is either pulled automatically from the first portion of the page’s text, or you can also add a manual excerpt below the post editor for each page. A “Read More” button will be placed below each excerpt. Upload a featured image to each page and that’s what will be pulled into the front page.

    A feature that requires Jetpack on a self-hosted site is the Site Logo option in the Customizer.

    Kathryn,
    After understanding what a “Featured Image” is, I could fix it.
    I have the German version of WordPress, which makes it harder to understand because of the different terminaology.

    lmtoy – there are pre-existing translation files for many languages. Please start a new thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/theme/goran#postform – and mention what language you’re looking for, and provide a link to your site.

    Once you’ve done that I’ll explain how to install the translation in your language. Thanks!
