  • same here.. following.. uploaded previous version error went away for now.

It also causes this error on the google analytics dashboard plugin and causes it to fail loading data.

Invalid response, more details in JavaScript Console (F12).

Ditto here. On three sites I installed the update on. The error crashed one site and I had to restore from backup. The other two sites it just displayed the error message but the sites worked fine.

version 1.8.4 doesn’t fix it yet.. 1.8.2 is working for me.

    I agree version 1.8.4 doesn’t fix it either. ??

One other thing I noticed in trying to correct the error was that it was not consistent across the sites I have. Some would display it and others not. One thing that would set the error off was deactivating and uninstalling a plugin called “All-In-One Migration”.

But once the error appeared, the only thing that would get rid of it was deactivating WordPress Helpers.

The only way that worked consistently to fix the problem was to completely uninstall WordPress Helpers. Install the latest version. Redo my settings except do not select to remove any widgets from the “Appearance” section of WordPress Helpers. Which is something I can live with compared to having that error suddenly pop up and showing up on every page on my website.

    yepp, same problem in 1.8.4

Same here. Had to deactivate the plugin.

It’s not all sites but out of 50 more than less. Today’s update to 1.8.5 hasn’t corrected the error yet so I am still able to use 1.8.2 without error.

Warning: Illegal offset type in unset in /home/public_html/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 603

different sites with different plugins in each but as I mentioned other sites no error at all.

Updated to 1.8.5. No Error. Went to WordPress Helpers, Appearance Tab, Click the box to remove the Meta Widget, Save Changes and error appears.

Going back and unchecking remove the Meta Widget and Save Changes results in a new error along with the old error. The new error being

“Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/michellekellybiz/public_html/wp-includes/widgets.php:603) in /home/michellekellybiz/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1207′

There is nothing else here, so the only way to get back to my back end is to enter the web address myself where the old error comes back on all pages. The only way to get rid of the error for good is to do a database restore. Update to the latest version and stay away from using ‘WordPress Helpers’ to remove unnecessary widgets.

    no solution in 1.8.5

1.8.6 seems to have corrected the issue I was having on a number of sites..

nope I take that back still getting the error on some sites..

Warning: Illegal offset type in unset in /home/public_html/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 603

This issue also causes google analytics dashboard widget to fail to load

Same here. Had to de-activate the plug-in.

first site that I had that was stuck on version 1.8.2 was finally able to upgrade to today’s release of 1.8.8. I will report back if I run into same error on any other sites.
