Problem going from temp to perm URL for addon domain

I am moving a site to new host as an addon domain. I access via the temporary URL (https://66.147.244.225/~staceycu/douglasgibsonwrites), installed WP and imported data. Looked good. Changed DNS. Then changed to permanent URL. The home page appeared to be fine, but internal links are still showing the temp URL and will not display. Attempted to get back into wp-admin and it redirects to temp URL and I can’t get in. I went into the database and switched back to temp URL and I can access everything again. How can I get the entire site to recognize the permanent URL? What am I missing? Thanks.
