jpegtran listed as missing

    Hello,

    I’ve clean installed EWWW when we updated the theme of our website (www.lebillet.ch). We host our site through OVH and are located in Switzerland (and I run the FTP with my Mac, if that’s useful info).

    When going through the plugins, EWWW lists jpegtran as missing, even though I see the binary file through FTP.

    Everything appears to check out until the binaries are actually executed. It seems that one of the libraries jpegtran needs is missing. I’ll try to dig more into what that means tonight. In the meantime, feel free to research it yourself and see if you can find a resolution.

    Thanks for your swift reply. I’ve already dug into this as much as possible, but couldn’t find an answer, which is why I decided to post directly here. I’m interested in reading what you find out!

    Do you know, or can you find out, what version of linux is running on the server?

    And from what I can see, the only thing jpegtran needs is libc.so.6, so it may be possible that your system has an incompatible libc.

    I suppose I could contact our host and ask fro that Linux information. What do you need in order to find out if the system has an incompatible libc? And is that something we can fix in order to make it run properly?

    I’m not quite sure, a lot depends on the linux distribution/version they are running on the server.
