eo_events not translating

When I place the shortcode eo_events in a page, I’m not seeing the events that I can see with other shortcodes such as eo_fullcalendar or event_board. All I’m seeing is the actual shortcode: [eo_events]. What am I doing wrong?
I’m using the theme, Agency, a subtheme of Genesis.
