    Katie,

Hi there. Again, huge fan. Thank you for Zotpress.

Sometime recently, I’ve lost the connection between Zotero and Zotpress. One page of my site is https://studyartsadministration.com/career/conferences/

I use a table plugin too, but on this page I have both a table plugin and just some short code: [zotpress userid=”173663″ tags=”conferences” inclusive=”no” style=”default” sortby=”title” notes=”yes” abstract=”no” link=”yes”]

It was working earlier, but yesterday when I went to revisit it, I found that all my pages that contained short code resulted in Gears turning and nothing loading. I contacted my host company (GoDaddy) and they think everything per your requirements is functional. Thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Patrick

    Zotpress 6.0 involved a huge re-write, see here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/zotpress-60-feedback

Can you post the shortcodes so I can test?

Here is one of my basic short codes:

    [zotpress userid=”173663″ tags=”conferences” inclusive=”no” style=”default” sortby=”title” notes=”yes” abstract=”no” link=”yes”]

Sorry, not sure how I missed that the first time! The bug should be fixed in 6.0.2.

Awesome. Thank you so much. You’re the best.

I still have this same problem. It persists on my site even though I also have all the requirements verified and am on the latest version, in my case: Version 6.0.3

For @jay_swan it was using “zotpress” instead of “zotpressInTextBib” as the bibliography shortcode.

    Hey Katie,

really appreciate the update with the auto-sync function. But unfortunately, with my wordpress page it does not work at all anymore, I am only seeing “gears”: https://www.steffenlepa.de/?page_id=1218

I tried to clear the cache and tried to use very simple shortcode (e. g. [zotpress collection=”4GG46F9F”]) but nothing changed.

Any idea how I could get this working without downgrading?

    Thanks in advance!

I’m seeing that your jQuery scripts are broken. Zotpress relies on these. Please check your theme to make sure the paths/urls to jQuery are correct.

Hi, after upgrading to 6.0.5 today (on WP 4.3.1 with the Toolbox theme) I get ever-spinning gears in blog posts, e.g. here:
    https://motnormalt.org/2015/10/29/uke-43-2015/
The library display, on the other hand, works fine.

I checked jQuery paths as per your above response, but if anything’s broken, I cannot see it; I only upgraded Zotpress, not the theme; and citations worked fine just before the upgrade.

Any help appreciated. And thanks for the great plugin!

@chrmoe0 Please send your API ID, key, and the shortcodes/content in this post to me: https://katieseaborn.com/contact

    Hey Katie,

thanks for the quick reply! You were right, an old plugin was messing up my JQuery. I think the new auto-sync is just great, though still a bit slow. However, its a professional product now, so I decided to donate ??
    Cheers,

Thank you, Steffen. I’m hoping to speed things up considerably as I work on Zotpress over the holidays and January. Stay tuned ??

Hi, just checking if you received the data I sent through your contact form and if anything was missing?

I’ve reverted to 6.0.4 for now, which seems to work fine.

It seems to me that currently Zotpress 6.1.2 does only show the Loading Gears on Firefox 43.0.4 (when not logged into WP 4.4.1). After login into WP shortcode works. It is working anyways in Chrome and Internet Explorer. See https://bit.ly/1QAsEnz
I hope this is not connected to the theme/JQuery/plugin.

@chrisfo I’m using Firefox 43.0.4 (on a Mac) and I can see the loading gears … maybe it’s a Firefox plugin? I am getting a 403 Forbidden on all requests, though?
