    Hi,

I think your plugin will help me a lot, but I cant connect plugin to the database.

Ok, so I am redesign Joomla website into WordPress website. I need to transfer all posts, categories etc. for a client.

I have downloaded database from their hosting and on xampp through phpmyadmin imported it on local MySQL.

So I am at the connection screen from the plugin.
What to enter as username and password? same login that is at their site or username from my local setup (root)?

Hostname is “localhost” or “127.0.0.1” I believe.

Please help me resolve this and I will be grateful to you.

    Thanks,

    Chempo

If you have transferred the Joomla database in local, you must enter the local credentials (localhost, root).
And in the URL field, you must enter the URL of the live Joomla site.

    thank you for replying.

I actually made a new user and gave it permissions. Oh and I was stupid and mistyped prefix XD.

    Thanks for very quick reply.

I am probably gonna buy Pro version, because after I connected it, it imported all posts, categories etc. with no problems. Thank you for making my life easier :D.
