    It could, depending on your server.. however.. It’s not designed for it, nor supported for it.

    YMMV but I doubt it’ll be a viable option for you, especially as importing the images is only one step in the process – you still need to attach it to products, etc.

    Look into a proper importer for whatever plugin you’re using.
