Making my site accessible

  • I created my site, delwrites.wordpress.com, just over a week ago. I first announced it over Facebook, and all who tried to access it through Facebook had no problem. Two days ago I emailed about two dozen people to let them know I was blogging, and many of them have found that the URL doesn’t work. It’s just fine for others. What’s up? I want my blog to be available to all who have the URL and anyone else who stumbles upon it.

  • Hey! I guess that is a good sign of not getting accessed by few peoples. The reason behind this is that, when you are using the free hosting support by wordpress, like, https://www.something.wordpress.com it will not handle many visitors and may crash at sometimes. It is a good sign that you are attracting more visitors to your site. So its time to move on to different hosting either from wordpress.com or from other hosting giants, like, Godaddy, Hostgator, etc. And in that case, your wordpress site will be delwrites.com. The .wordpress part will be gone.

    You can trust the www.ads-software.com forums for support precisely because people provide support via the forums itself and people do not log into your website.

    @delshortliffe, You need to post on WordPress.com’s forums for support: https://en.forums.wordpress.com

    www.ads-software.com’s forums are for supporting the software that is distributed on www.ads-software.com, which is not the same as the software on .com. Confusing isn’t it!
