Greek characters in the filename of the feature image

If the video’s title is written with Greek characters, then the filename of the featured image is being created by having the same Greek characters separated by dashes (-).
But this is a problem when the files are hosted in a linux server. Greek characters aren’t compatible and they are cause many problems in the backup procedure and if we need to move a site in another server.Would It be able to exist the choice of creating the feature image’s filename using youtube id ?
