Deleting Categories

  • When I try to delete categories, it works fine. Or so it seems.

    If I try to later recreate that category, it fails. I check the database backend, and for some reason my deleted categories aren’t deleted at all. They’re still there.

    I was wondering why I can’t delete categories?

  • Ive noticed (in WP 2.6.1 and WPMU 2.6) that when I try to delete categories from within the Manag/ Category panel – by ticking the box and selecting the delete button – something is actioned but the page refreshes and the category remains. The only way Ive found of getting around this is to delete the category in the DB by hand.

    Any ideas anyone? Is it a plugin clash?

    I have the same problem. I hope soemone reading this has an answer.
    Maybe it is a bug they are working on?
