I’m new to Testimonial Basics and using qTranslate-X. I would like to check to see if I am doing things right for use with qTranslate-X (it seems to be working). Any input would be appreciated.

I have used groups for qTranslate-X. I a using the following on the testimonials page for the listings and form:

    [katb_testimonial group="English" number="all" by="date" id="" rotate="no" layout="0" schema="yes"]
    [katb_input_testimonials group="English" form="1"]

    [katb_testimonial group="Fran?ais" number="all" by="date" id="" rotate="no" layout="0" schema="yes"]
    [katb_input_testimonials group="Fran?ais" form="1"]

    For General Input Options I a using qTranslate-X coding, e.g., [:en]Submit a review[:fr]Soumettre un avis[:], [:en]Your name[:fr]Votre nom[:], ....

Because I am using the groups for qTranslate-X, along with the Schema layout, for which a title is required so this checkbox is assumed on, I have unchecked Use Group Name for Aggregate Name and Custom Individual Review Name. Otherwise it output the group name, e.g., English or Fran?ais.

If you use schema, the title is required so the option to switch off the Title will not work. I will look at making the title optional by using a meta tag in the next version, but that won’t be for a while. It would be better to not use the group name for the language, rather it should be used as a title of the review, or the subject of the review.

Thanks for your reply. I’m a little confused about what you wrote to not use the group name for the language. I am using the group name for the language so that each language can be displayed independently. I could not see any other way to do this with qTranslate-X.

So that you know what my meaning is, please see this link for English testimonials and input form and this link for French testimonials and input form.

I’m open to any suggestions you may have.
