Alright, so here goes:

Your instructions:
1. step: activate plugin
2. Visit the APIs Console at https://code.google.com/apis/console and log in with your Google Account
3. Click the Services link from the left-hand menu.
4. Activate the Google Maps API v3 service.
5. Click the API Access link from the left-hand menu. Your API key is available from the API Access page, in the imple API Access section. Maps API applications use the Key for browser apps.

Problems:
After logging in I end up here: https://console.developers.google.com/project

Anyway, after I manage to find where to activate APIs I see these and there is no Google Maps API v3 service

First I installed a Browser key like the instructions say. Then I installed a JavaScript key like this thread says. Neither worked.

Then I removed all keys and it is working but I don’t know what will eventually happen with no Key.

How are the placemarks added to the map?
