I’m getting a “This web page has a redirect loop” on the website I’m working on!

    The website is probeautyclinic.co.uk

I can logon to the backend via wp-admin and I can view other pages (e.g. Contact, Blog etc).

Does anyone know what might be causing this error?

    Thanks

    Jeremy

  • Try:
    – switching to the default theme automatically by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    Just to check…

In my themes folder I have:

    genesis
    pro-beauty-clinic (active)
    twentyfifteen
    etc

    Should I rename pro-beauty-clinic to pro-beauty-clinic-old?

    Should I rename pro-beauty-clinic to pro-beauty-clinic-old?

Yes. That should activate the 2015 theme automatically.

Ok, I deleted pro-beauty-clinic completely (I have it on my local host), but I’m still getting the error, unfortunately.

Did you manage to reset the plugin’s folder as well?

I set the option-value field using phpmyadmin to a:0:{}.

Ok, put everything back – and that fixed it!!!!

    Many thanks!
