Facebook Share Not Working on Desktop

Hi, I just checked my site and it happens I am having the same problem on desktop? The share plugin doesn’t work and shows “content not available” I am using the pro version. I thought the “cookie consent” plugin has something to do with this so I deleted it bit still the mashare is not working well.

Edit: I can confirm that sharing is not working on several sites located in india. I think we have to wait more until facebook will fix this.

We’re from the Philippines. I hope it will be fixed soon as we have a lot of traffic coming to our site, Facebook share is a must. By the way it seems like it’s only Facebook that’s having an issue other share buttons are working pretty well.

Oh I forgot, when I paste the link to Facebook it works without any issues, it’s just when I use the mashare share buttons so its the plugin that has an error perhaps.

I think this is a facebook bug. Nothing has been changed in Mashshare. Please write me again in 1-2 days if this has been solved than.

If this is not working we can be pretty sure that this is a facebook bug.

Disable your facebook comment plugin and try again to share

Its possible that your app id is wrong configured and not visible to the public or only to a limited audience.

Please let me know if this helps.

Edit, on another client site its working now. We disabled the facebook comment plugin and used the facebook debugger and clicked on “fetch new scrape information”

So i can 99% confirm that the app id of your facebook comment plugin is broken due to an invalid setting.

Please follow the instruction on mashshare to create a new app id for your comment plugin: https://www.mashshare.net/documentation/installation-of-likeaftershare-add-on/

@rene hermeau i tried what you told but still the same issue is happening. I am using sumome, it is working fine in mobile but not in the desktop.

whats your website? Please be aware that sumome is not a mashshare product.

ya i do know that…But the issue is same and thought it is more because of facebook. So just wanted a solution for it.

I think the same, its probably a facebook bug. Unfortunately, at the moment there is nothing which can be done in the Mashshare plugin to solve it.
