• Hi,

My website went down when I was installing Divina theme: https://hjaap.org/. I cannot login to the wordpress admin neither.

The error says: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /nfs/c10/h04/mnt/177168/domains/hjaap.org/html/wp-content/themes/divina/functions.php on line 425

    Hope you can help me!

    Thanks in advance,
    Victoria

  • If you have ftp setup you can try downloading the theme unzipping it and deleting the old theme and replacing it with the new copy.

If that doesn’t work you can try renaming the theme which should cause wordpress to display the default theme instead. This should allow you to login into your site.

I renamed the theme but nothing happened.
How do I access to ftp setup? Could you provide me some instructions to do it? Thank you!

you need to download an ftp client like filezilla and install it on your system.

Next, You need to setup an ftp account if your using shared hosting you should find an icon on your cpanel to set it up. You just need to select the directory where your wordpress is located and create a user and password.

You will next need to add the ftp settings to your ftp client. There are usually instructions on the cpanel to do this.

Then just login using your ftp client. You will be able to copy delete and edit files with the ftp client. Just be careful! Your themes will be located under the wordpress directory /wp-content/themes. You can select and copy the theme directory into the theme folder.

After the theme has been copied. refresh your site.
