private msg between users

Hi,

The new version is coming in 3-4 weeks. I’m rewriting great part of the source code and adding a big set of new features. Private messaging will be part of the pro version which will be available in 1-2 months unfortunately. I wish I could help you right now, but first I have to release the free version.

Private messages will be available in PRO version. I am working on it. Check again after some time. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

I haven’t planned friends invitation feature, however, it sounds nice and it’s worth implementing. These should be e-mail notifications? Is that what you propose?

Unfortunately, there is no possibility to put the chat in the bottom corner. It’s a part of my plans for future features.

Hey,

I’m developping on a website that use privates forums and differents user status. Users are in differents groups and i’m willing to create them a chat for everyone.
So for now i’m creating a PW protected chat with the PW on the forum so every one from this group can join, but I think it would be great if you do add privates channels, with wordpress capabilities so it would be managable without PW.
Since you do manage unloged users it should be easy to add.

yes, private channels based on WordPress capabilities is a nice idea. I will definitely consider this. Basically, settings capability name for each channel should be sufficient?

In src/WiseChat.php there is a line:
“if ($this->service->hasUserToBeAuthorizedInChannel($channel)) {“
where the chat checks if an user has access to the channel.
