Custom Item validation

Firstly I would like to thank you for the awesome work on this plugin! Well done!
I installed this plugin and I followed this guide (https://docs.woothemes.com/document/tutorial-customising-checkout-fields-using-actions-and-filters/) to add a custom field to my checkout page. I need to validate this field as this sequence XXX.XXX.XXX-XX where X is a number.
Could anyone help me?Thank you very much!
