Imported DB, Now all 500 posts ‘Uncategorized’

My suspicion is the move wasn’t successful if the posts don’t have category. (Just a note: “uncategorized” is the default category of a new WP install, so your topic title is misleading!)

Did you make sure that you had the same WP version on both locations?

I have also just moved the host for my blog and at the same time upgraded from wordpress version 2 to the latest 2.3 (?)

All the posts now are in the category “Uncategorized”. I cant see where the category is set – e.g. there is no table called wp_category or no category column in the wp_posts table

Where is the category set?? How do I mass change the posts category??
