    (apologies in advance for my appalling lack of website know-how)

    Linking my WordPress domain to my new Squarespace following these instructions –

    https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/206542027

    Having problems with steps 3, 4 and 5. WordPress won’t allow me to enter things for CNAME or A that aren’t in URL format, including blanks – “Invalid name” error. Squarespace support says add “.nathanielhaley.com” to the end of my unique identifier under “Host”, and that seems to work for the first two CNAMEs but not for the A entries. My Squarespace DNS settings page shows all green, except two extra entries at the bottom –

    Host ||| Record ||| Required Data ||| Current Data
    @ ||| A ||| ||| 192.0.78.25
    @ ||| A ||| ||| 192.0.78.24

    I can get to my Squarespace from www.[mydomain].com but not through [mydomain].com (that still goes to my WordPress).

    Thanks for any insight!

    Is this regarding nathanielhaley.com ?

    If so, I currently see a Squarespace site there.

    When a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, your domain may go to its old location, and you may also receive a warning message in your browser about “redirect errors.”

    If you still have trouble viewing the site after 72 hours have passed, please try clearing your browser’s cache.

    If that doesn’t work, try clearing your local DNS cache: https://support.opendns.com/entries/26336865-Clearing-the-DNS-Cache-on-Computers-Servers-and-Web-Browsers

    It is about nathanielhaley.com – I will wait 72 hours and see if the sporadic issues clear up. Thanks for your help!
