    Hi,

I have two wordpress sites. One of them is working well, but the other one suddenly stopped doing any updates any more. I had another plugin Mail on Updates installed on this site, but I don’t believe, that was the issue. I also uninstalled the plugin, but no change.

I tried your force update as well as reset the settings, no changes on reset, force update did not really work. Once I pressed it uncountable times over hours (first time, wait one minute, second time, wait some more, third time, wait some more, hours later tried the same) and once anytime it updated, but without any notice. I tried to reproduce, but it stopped to update.

I’m unsure, if you use something like a “last check count”, maybe that one is corrupt. The other installation on the same machine, same environment still works.

    Regards,
    Christian

Are you having trouble with automatic updates or updates in general?

With automatic updates, manual updates always work.

Sorry to hear that. The force button is what we use to test automatic updates.

There must be some kind of conflict there preventing updates.

I know this will be a pain, but can you disable plugins until the culprit is found?

Oh, okay, I will test that, however will take some time

Not to rush you or anything, but any luck with it? Would really like to get this sorted out.

    Hi,

I currently wait for new updates to be installed, then I will try to update them with all plugins enabled and will then retry and disable plugin by plugin until either it’s done, or the update and your plugin are the last one. I’m unsure how else I could test it, as I can only see, it if’s updating, if I have an update.

    What is your settings configuration?

    Thread Starter heutger

    (@heutger)

    Hi,

what do you mean with configuration? I also tried to reset the configuration and then changed again plugins and themes updates from using the standard value to explizit yes, do the update always, if you mean that.

I meant have what are the Easy Updates Manager settings in the settings page set to. Make sure that you are not disabling updates, because you can not both disable and automatically update all plugins.

    Hi,

yes, all the settings were set to enable, also the settings set to “use standard” were set to enable.

Ok, I know that this is probably a stupid question but are you using the most recent version of Easy Updates Manager?

    Thread Starter heutger

    (@heutger)

Yes, although it didn’t update itself (also), I updated it last time before opening this ticket

Not to try and make you use another plugin but do other plugins out there that automatically update work for you, or do they not automatically update just like Easy Updates Manager?

I did not try other auto update plugins but I tried mailonupdates plugin and I got a mail on available updates
