  • Got exactly the same problem so maybe something wrong with the update after all.

    No W3TC or Cloudflare.

I have decided to downgrade back to wpDiscuz 2.2.10 and wait a couple of days to see if more people will report this issue as well. It looks like it isn’t a cache-related bug ater all. The older version 2.2.10 works flawlessly, so it must be caused by a different captcha code implementation in wpDiscuz 3.0 which renders the captcha images inoperable on certain systems.

I want to downgrade to 2.2.10 version. gVectors Team give me a download link.
Last version works very slow. You broke this good comment system whith this update.

    Hi Iuda,
wDiscuz 3 is much more better. The problem comes from your WordPress. We’ve already checked that. There are some plugins which generates Warning errors and those affects Admin AJAX requests. Nothing more. So the 3.0 can’t optimize comments. We’re currently creating a stand-alone file which you can upload to root directory and call to optimize all comments. After that you’ll be able to use 3.0 w/o any issue.

We’ve not broken wpDiscuz, we’ve made it much more better. And it’s already working great on thousands of wpDiscuz users websites. That’s impossible to make a plugin which can work on all WordPress sites. Each of those has specific problems, server issues and different set of plugins and themes. So you’re in about 0.1% cases who has a problem with 3.0. But we’re currently working to solve it too.
For now you can use this link to download 2.2.10 version.
    https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/wpdiscuz.2.2.10.zip

The stand-alone version of comment optimizer will be ready in few hours and we’ll let you know…

No, in previsios version i don’t have this problems. Your last update slow my site. I whant to rollback to 2.2.10 who works perfect.

How can 2.2.10 version has such a problem if that version had not comment optimizing functions. The 2 and the 3 are different plugins.

Ok, we have a good new for you. The stand-alone comment optimizer is ready. Please download this file https://wpdiscuz.com/300/wpdiscuz.zip
Unzip and upload wpdiscuz.php file to root directory of your WordPress site. Than call it like https://yourwebsite.com/wpdiscuz.php
This will show you a form with [Go] button. Just click on that and wait for “Done!” message. After this you can use wpDiscuz 3.0 without any issue.
Then do not forget to remove this file!

Ok, we just found the reason of CAPTCHA problem. The cache doesn’t matter here. All comes from security plugins which close access to some php files. We’re currently making some changes in wpDiscuz 3, so it’ll not bother those files and it’ll work fine… We’ll update wpDiscuz very soon.

PS. peter020, we’re currently fixing this issue for you too…

Ok great, just let me know when youré done.

    Thanks!
