WP rookie can't change legal text on Ultimatum footer

  • Hello to you WordPress pros out there. Would really appreciate your guidance. I am new to WP and have been asked by a financial services client to change the legal disclosure text in the footer of ALL pages of the site https://www.wsagaz.com. The text I need to remove and replace starts with “Securities offered through,” and ends with “product or service.” I simply need to replace it with a new statement I have received from the client. I am used to working with non-WP site-builders like Squarespace and Weebly, and I’m not much of a code guy, so this really is different. Anything anyone can share to help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

    The text I need to remove and replace starts with “Securities offered through,” and ends with “product or service.”

    This text is not a WP default behavior.

    So, either this text is placed by a plugin or a them.

    If it’s coming from a plugin, you need to find out that plugin by deactivating them one-by-one.

    If the text is coming from your theme (you can find out bu switching to the WP default Twenty Fifteen theme), then you need to contact the theme’s developers with your question.

    Because, your currently used theme is not in the www.ads-software.com/themes/ directory: https://www.ads-software.com/themes/search/Ultimatum/

    These forums are for free themes available in the WordPress theme directory at www.ads-software.com/themes/. So please contact the developer/vendor directly for support with your question. You’ll be more likely to find a good answer from them, for they have the access to its code.
