    Hey

First of all thanks for this great plugin.

I have created two test products “Test” and “Another Test”. I have 2 custom taxonomies 1 is “pest” and another is “crop”. Product “Test” is assigned to “crop” taxonomy and product “Another Test” is assigned to “pest” taxonomy.

Now i have used this query ?s=test&taxonomy=pest&post_type=product

But its showing both products, i mean its not restricting to only search from pest.
What i have done so far :

    I have installed the plugin
    selected the taxonomies
    selected post types
    Did indexing

But its not working for me at all.

Am i missing some thing ?

    Thanks!

Is the name of the taxonomy taxonomy? If not, then the taxonomy parameter is wrong.

Thank you so much for this quick response.

What is the name of your taxonomy? According to your query, it is “taxonomy”. Is that correct? If not, change “taxonomy” in the query to the actual name of your taxonomy.

I don’t quite understand how your system is set up. Are “pest” and “crop” separate taxonomies, or terms in the same taxonomy?

Pest and Crop are two separate taxonomies.

I need the search limited to pest taxonomy. I am searching product with title “Test”

Can you please let me know what should be query in this case ?

    Thank you so much.

If “Pest” is a taxonomy, then what is the taxonomy term in the “Pest” taxonomy you want to find? You can’t assign a post to a taxonomy, but you can assign a term in taxonomy to a post.

    The query should look like:

    ?s=test&pest=term&post_type=product

where term is the term you want in the taxonomy “Pest”.

Thank you – i got your point.
