Failure to Install WordPress on Web Platform Installer 5.0

I have tried everything and no luck so far… Every time I try to install WordPress, Web Deploy 3.5 won’t install and I receive this message:

Web Deploy 3.5 – 2013 : “This product did not install successfully: There is a problem with the Windows Installer Package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run…”

The log shows errors 1720 and 1603. It won’t let me post the log, any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been trying to resolve this issue for weeks and I’m at my wit’s end.
