    Hi

Using the free version of Booking, I make a booking from the front end form and in the Booking Listing view I Reject it.

Now, firstly the javascript alert says: “Do you really want to set booking as pending” – why does it say pending – when I want to set it as rejected?

But anyway I click OK, but it’s status doesn’t change – just remains Pending.

    Is this a bug?

    Hello.
    No, its does not bug.
If you click on “Reject” button, its only change the status of the booking from “Approved” to “Pending”.
If you want completely to delete the booking, please click on other button “Delete”.
We need to have “Reject” button, because in some cases customers need to change the status of booking from “approved to pending”.
P.S. Probably, its just not really correct name of that button in your case. Instead of “Reject” its have to be something else.
    Kind Regards.

I think it would be much clearer if the booking started as Pending while no action had been taken, then if rejected if changed status to Rejected.

Then have a separate Pending button to reset the booking to pending if neccessary.

As it is I can’t see a clear way to see what’s pending or rejected.

Currently if the booking will be deleted (in your sense Rejected) its will not exist anymore in the Booking Calendar.

In a future version updates we will add “trash” functionality. So all deleted bookings will be inside of special folder.
    Kind Regards.

But I don’t want to delete the booking in case later it can be approved.

For example, someone books something, it is not currently available, so I reject it. But later that booking becomes available, so I can now approve it – but how can I find it, when I can’t see what has been rejected because it simply says “Pending” which is just the same as any new booking?

    Hello.
Ok, in this case because of your booking workflow, its possible to make a trick with such bookings, but its will be possible only in the paid versions of Booking Calendar, not the Booking Calendar Free version.

In those versions, you can create one special “Rejected” booking resource at the Booking > Resources page, and then just switch the booking resource for such bookings to the “Rejected”. Its means that in original calendar of booking resource, where this booking was making the date(s) will be available. And this booking will be stored in this “proxy” booking resource “Rejected”.
You can also add some notes to such booking, if you need this.

You can check overview of different Booking Calendar versions at this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/
Also you can test live demos https://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/ to be sure in functionality and do not have misunderstanding.
    Kind Regards.
