Terms of Service (ToS) of www.ads-software.com?

    Hello. I started few days ago using www.ads-software.com to create my site. I used to work/test on wordpress.com blog. while in worpress.com i found and read the TOS. Now that i work on wordpress.ORG i can’t find any place showing or having a link about the TOS of www.ads-software.com

    is it anywhere i can find it? or is it the same TOS as in wordpress.com ?

    You started using the software on www.ads-software.com you mean? WordPress is released under the GPLv2 license: https://www.ads-software.com/about/license/

    www.ads-software.com gives away software. We’re not really a “service” and so don’t have any terms. The software is available to anybody, for any purpose.

    this confuses me a bit the way it works. i read the license, which is about the software used, the code etc. So… in the way it works isn’t somehow any guideline, regulation about the content of the sites using the softwareof www.ads-software.com?

    By what i read and understand it is that you are free to use the software following the license but what about the contents?

    Could this mean that someone could have NSFW, nudity,drugs, copying without permission copyright materials, DMCA, phising, scam content etc in the site using the www.ads-software.com?

    i’m sure i;m missing something basic here ??

    If you are using the WordPress software as distributed on www.ads-software.com then you are using your own hosting providers. It is up to your hosting providers whether they have criteria on what you can and cannot post.

    Yes, that is exactly what it means.

    We are not a hosting service. We don’t run any websites except our own (this one). You can use the WordPress software for *any* purpose you like.

    Now, your hosting service might have some terms for you. But that’s them. That’s not us.
