Big gap between first post and others using the shortcode

    Using the posts shortcode for the teaser loop. 3 posts from the category are shown on the home page. The first one has a huge gap before the second 2 poss. This happened very suddenly. The article wasn’t altered in any way, though the title was changed on the home page. But now there is a huge gap. No extra css or divs to account for it.

    What could cause this? How do I fix it?

    Can you give a link to the page(s) where that’s happening? It’s hard to diagnose when we can’t see what’s happening.

    Offhand, I would immediately check if there are extra lines in the excerpt of the first post. Since the shortcode is pulling in the excerpt, it might be trying to account for that. If you haven’t specified an excerpt, it will be trying to pull in the content and formatting it as best it can.
