2022 This Is Still Garbage

  • Okay, so I tried this plugin years ago. It was a mess. I tried it again in 2022. It’s still useless and slows down a site considerably. I have WAY faster sites by just using a caching plugin. AND you can’t delete the plugin. I spent half an hour bouncing between complaints, forums, support telling people a bunch of coding nonsense to try to delete a plugin, bounced over to GitHub where the answer is supposedly found (good luck, unless you know GitHub, you won’t find any answers there, support is not overly supportive from what I can tell). What a mess! Don’t bother! Get a fast theme and good caching. AMP was, and still is, a disaster. I’m a web dev and I see ZERO point in using this plugin. Due to the deletion issues, it shouldn’t be allowed on WordPress for download. Can I give it -2 stars?

    Sorry for the incontinence; some users were experiencing problems deleting the plugin data; the fix was released yesterday with version 2.2.1.

    you can’t delete the plugin.

    This was just fixed yesterday in v2.2.1. See issue: https://github.com/ampproject/amp-wp/issues/6826

    Sorry, but I don’t think you’re being fair. At least you didn’t look very far. As far as I know, our support team is among the most responsive and helpful that you can find on the www.ads-software.com support forums.
