adding attachments 500 error or white screen

    Hi – I am currently using
    BBpress 2.5.8
    GD bbPress Attachments 2.3.1
    My theme is Divi

    I am having a problem when a user tried to upload an image when creating a topic or a reply. It appears as if if is uploading but then I eithe get a white screen or a 500 error.

    I have the default of Maximum file size allowed is 100000 KB. My server allowed upload size is at least 2mb.

    Any ideas on why this is happening? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • I am having the same problem, and I have no idea why ??

    I’ve tried both jpg and docx, varying file sizes, no luck.

    My .htaccess isn’t blocking uploads.

    I can upload files via Media library and ftp just fine.

    Any ideas???

    You need to provide server side PHP error log. Any 500 error must generate error in the log. If that is not there, your server is not configured to log errors, and you need to change that, and get errors after that.
