No shortcodes displaying

I have the latest version of WordPress and shortcodes Ultimate, I am not clear as to when this problem occurred but, none of the shortcode icons appear anymore when you choose insert shortcode, there is just a small square box where the icon would normally be displayed.
We have used the spoiler option on some pages and looking at them now, we had a circle with a + symbol icon you could click on to expand the content, the circle & + is now replaced with this same square box that looks like [] (without the gaps)
If we go to the examples page for the plugin, everything that should display an icon is replaced again with this small square box, it’s like it doesn’t know the path to the images and displays that square.
I have tried uninstalling/ installing and it still does it, any ideas appreciated as it is a fantastic plug in but, we can’t really get the proper use now.
