moving wordpress to another domain, the 128 posts issue

    first of all, I am running wp 2.3. so the latest one

    I am trying to move my wp from a domain to another one, so I installed the new version on the new website and updated the old wp on the other website.
    I tried the Import Export WXR but It didn t export the excerpts (!! they are very important for me, they have the thmbnails of my photos) so I followed the instruction given in

    it worked, but It import only 128 posts
    then i undid the recommended procedure, deciding to give up about my excerpts but.. nothing, always 128 posts

    so, I would be very greatful if you would share with my ideas about the possible solution for 1. excerpts, or 2. importing more than 128 posts (which sounds like something to be increased somewhere)

    Hi there,

    I encountered this too; I just hacked the import & export code, as you can see here:

    the post.

    Hope this helps! I’m not sure what’s the best way to put this into the system, but maybe my post will help. Or maybe other people aren’t having this problem for some reason, who knows?
