"Failed to send your message." What am I doing wrong?

Every time I try to submit something with Contact Form 7 I get the message “Failed to send your message.” I have looked through tons of forums, but I don’t know how to fix it. I have the most recent version of all plug-ins.
I want to use the contact form to help me learn more about clients before their counseling appointment is scheduled. I don’t need to send them e-mails, I just need their application e-mailed to me through Contact Form 7.

My default e-mail is the work email ([email protected]). The error message does not have a color box to help determine the type of error. Is there something I’m supposed to do in the Mail section, even though I’m not e-mailing clients anything? or another way to prove I’m not spam?
I appreciate anyone that can help me sort this out.
