Different design of category pages and content pages

    Hello,

    is it possible to make a different layout of category pages and content pages. I would like to have the following design:

    (1) CATEGORY PAGE
    left: all content of selected category
    right: all categories as a navigation

    (2) CONTENT PAGE
    left: content
    right: pictures of this content and a return-button

    Is this possible? Where can I change the design of the ?p=1 pages and the ?cat=1 pages?
