    Hi.

Looking at my page source code, i see:

    <script type='application/ld+json'>{"@context":"http:\/\/schema.org","@type":"WebSite","url":"http:\/\/www.website.com\/","name":"website.com","potentialAction":{"@type":"SearchAction","target":"http:\/\/www.website.com\/?s={search_term_string}","query-input":"required name=search_term_string"}}</script>
<!-- End The Seo Framework by Sybre Waaijer -->

and i would like to ask if this script belongs to your plugin. Because is is inside the plugin’s part.

    Thanks

    Hi @massimod,

Good catch! Yes, it belongs to The SEO Framework.

In short: It’s a search helper.

    Longer story:
Read all about it here: https://developers.google.com/structured-data/slsb-overview

Chrome also makes use of it, depending on your browser settings and cache, it will add your site to the “search engines”. This way, the user can simply press the spacebar after your URL to search for anything on your website.

WordPress itself has a search engine, the query ?s=something searches for ‘something’ within your WordPress website.
Google utilizes this, and if your site is popular enough you’ll get the search bar beneath your site on the first page of Google Results, like with Pinterest.

Currently, there’s no option to deactivate it. Since 2.3.9 you can remove it through a filter.

In the future I’ll make a plugin on which you can customize its output.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! ??

    Enjoy your day ^^
