    Hi,

    thanks for this plugin, we used the predecessor Theme “wp advent” for several years :-).

    My question: By viewing the background image on different platforms (desktop, notebook, mobile), is it possible to scale it, so the output stays the same?

    2. Is it possible to give the individual numbers in the calendar (1 – 24) a background. On some wallpapers you hardly see the numbers. In the CSS file one can indeed adjust the colors of the numbers, but the way I see it, a background then refers to the entire area and not just to the number.     2. Ist es m?glich den einzelnen Zahlen im Kalender (1 – 24) einen Hintergrund zu geben. Auf manchen Hintergrundbildern sieht man die Zahlen kaum. In der CSS-Datei lassen sich zwar die Farben der Zahlen anpassen, doch so, wie ich das sehe, bezieht sich der Hintergrund dann auf die gesamte Fl?che und nicht nur auf die Zahl.     Mats,

    the layout of the calendar is designed to be working in as many different themes as possible. That’s why the background is so flexible: It has to fit in calendars of many different sizes and scales. At the moment I can’t think of a solution that would be that flexible.

    I’ll have a look in your suggestion of giving the numbers a more solid background. Would you prefer that on every tile or just the already activated?

    Concerning the background it would be nice to have it for every tile, (but) it would also be ok if it does only work for the already activated ones.

    Concerning the image size / layout we currently use a workaround as we adjusted the “width” in #wp-advent-list li to fit for a specific image. In another advent calendar plugin / script I saw the possibility to auto-scale the background image (don’t know how it works :-)): https://www.pialauck.de/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/adventskalender-1.5.zip .     Hi Mats,

    Martin is unable to look at this at the moment, I’ll try to answer with my lesser CSS knowledge.
    As far as I can see, the background image scales to the size of the calendar, which scales to the width of the article/page. I looked at the Europastadt-calendar and it looks like their code looks pretty similar in that regard.

    Hi, I needed some time to understand what result you wanted to get – you seem to be drawing the day numbers directly onto the image. I’m not sure this is what we want to do, especially with the new shuffle feature that will come with WordPress 4.4.

    Hi, in that case “yes” because the solution of Pia Lauck doesn’t offer the feature to get them via PHP. The example at europastadt.org/adventskalender is only to show the image feature. As I mentioned before (first post), a solution like this: https://www.kalender.fvks.eu., would be perfect. Thanks und Grü?e, Mats

    Hi, sorry, it has been a week – but it’s a busy time, some things have to wait. Again: sorry for that.

    I’m still not quite sure what you want the plugin to do that it isn’t doing now. A different picture for every day?
