Page/post editor is slow and bogging down

  • When I try to create or edit a post or page, the editor is running very slowly, often to the point of totally bogging down. It takes me two minutes to type ten words, if they show up at all. This started happening last Friday. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated! Is anyone else having this problem? I have the same problem on multiple computers.

  • Have you tried disabling your plugins and reverting to the default theme? One of them might be taking too much memory causing things to slow down.

    I think Yoast might be the problem. I updated it right about the time this started happening, and I’ve heard other people say the same thing.
