    Hi,

After cloning my site from server A to server B (by copying all WP files and DB), the layout generated through the plugin is gone. Meaning, texts and images are displayed normally, but the particular layout arrangement achieved through the plugin is gone.

Is there any way to preserve it? Is the layout information not stored in the same place as the post content?

    Hi @baia

Hopefully, you still have the original server running. Page Builder content is sensitive in migration situation. It’s important that the character set is UTF-8 on export and import and that all the same plugins are active on the receiving server.

The best way to handle this is to use Duplicator:

Thanks Andrew. I ended up using WP importer plugin which worked well with this issue. Duplicator doesn’t work with many hosting providers unfortunately…

    Sorry to hear that.

If you don’t mind setting up the plugins and WordPress settings then, yes, the importer handles Page Builder nicely.

Glad to hear you’ve made a recovery. All the best with your site.
