Hide Addons, Tags etc links for subscribers

    Hi Julien

    How can I hide the Addons, Tags and Products links for the subscriber role?

    They show up in the admin panel and simply says “You are not allowed to edit this item.”

    It would be best if we could hide this, or simply not show up for a subscriber or other roles where it is not required.

    Well that’s surprising. Those menu items are only supposed to show up for users with the capability edit_posts. Have you customized the subscribers capabilities?

    Ah that’ll be it.

    However, I’m using another plugin which has some custom roles – which I prefer to use for the purpose of my site. The most basic role does have the edit_posts permission due to certain functionality.

    I’ll install a user role plugin and see if I can tailor the role to my needs.
