    I’m extremely new to WP. I created a website in a course at my school, so it was all set up on their server and everything for us students. At the end of the program, if we wanted to keep our sites, which I do, we were giving access to an online course “How to Safely Copy and Move Your WordPress Website”, offered on Udemy.com. It was easy going at first, using Duplicator I got my site zipped and now have the installer and zip archive in the new directory (confidencelodge.com) but I started running into problems during the installer and the online course kept moving forward. I ran the duplicator installer, without errors or warnings. Now I’m on step 3 of the installer – Test and all my options – save permalinks, test site, etc bring me to;

    Warning: require_once(/hsphere/local/home/diego/confidencelodge.comwp-load.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hsphere/local/home/diego/confidencelodge.com/wp-blog-header.php on line 12 Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/hsphere/local/home/diego/confidencelodge.comwp-load.php’ (include_path=’.:/hsphere/shared/apache/libexec/php5ext/php/’) in /hsphere/local/home/diego/confidencelodge.com/wp-blog-header.php on line 12

    I’m transferring the site to a friends server/directory, and I’ve never done anything like this before.

    The website is confidencelodge.com. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Jason

  • Maybe The site’s theme has been damaged. Try:

    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php
